2016's Sustainable Food Week (October 24th - October 29th) is presented through a collaboration with Appalachian State University, Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture, and community partners, like Watauga County Cooperative Extension, the Watauga County Farmers' Market, and the Watauga County Public Library. Sponsors and supporters from Appalachian State University include: AppalFRESH (Appalachian Food Research for Equity, Sustainability and Health) Collaborative, Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE), Office of Sustainability, the Department of Sustainable Development, the Department of Anthropology, and the Sustainable Development Student Alliance.
